Interested individuals can apply to be a general member of DNN by filing candidacy during the elections happening every year in our Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Debate Network Nepal is a social enterprise registered as a profit not distributing company and is also serving as Nepal’s national debate body. We firmly believe in the strength of fair democratic practice. Anyone who understands our values and vision and is committed to uplift the debate movement of Nepal is welcomed to become a member.
Our fourth Annual General Meeting (AGM) conducted on 29th of December has elected 27 general members (including 9 board members) who will be serving for the full tenure of one year. A new batch of general members (and board members) shall be elected by our upcoming (5th) AGM by the outgoing general members of this tenure. The dates and election procedures for the upcoming AGM shall be decided by the board later and shall be notified at least 21 days prior to the meeting. Please look out for the notice.
Apart from the board or general members, we also appoint a number of committee members to lead various committees – like national WSDC team screening committee, Nepali language debate promotion committee etc. You can also get in touch with us if you believe can lead one of those committees as a member.
